Landscapes Esch22
As part of the LANDSCAPES project for Esch2022 (European Capital of Culture 2022) issued by the municipalities of Kayl/Tétange and Rumelange, 9 artists, from the local “Minette” region, are invited to interpret the diversity of the surroundings within the “Léiffrächen” nature reserve, that have contributed to changing the identity of the region. From 1st August until 31st October 2022, LANDSCAPES takes the form of an open-air museum that allows visitors to discover the landscape along the walking course between Kayl, Léiffrächen and Rumelange, Wanterfeld.
Photographer Lynn Theisen, is one of the participating artists. In her LANDSCAPES project, she invites 22 artists from different genres to install an artwork along this 3-km course for a single day. The only remaining traces of all 22 installations are the photographs displayed in this book. A selection of 10 pictures are exhibited on the path itself and displayed at the respective end points of the route: 6 in Kayl and 4 in Rumelange. A complete series of 22 photos can be found in her book.
